Girls Lunch // Lifestyle

Today was a fresh change of pace from the norm of everyday. We are very close with our neighbors
and got very blessed to have them next store. We all went out to lunch, because, their daughter, Rachel, actually, lives in Scotland and is home for the holiday! She leaves Thursday to return and we made sure of it to have some girl time before she left.

I was very blessed by how Rachel also made it a "bridal" type lunch, since she won't be able to make it to any of the celebrations with my wedding due to living across the pond ;) Thank you so much!

We went to the "No Frill Grill" in Norfolk, Va and ate to our hearts content.

It was such a great way to spend a Tuesday and to get more time with Rachel before she goes back!

Here's to 2013 and continuing friendships!

Portraits // Yacht club

Jahnel and I went on a photo adventure a couple days after I first got my Canon 5D Mark ii in      December! I was so excited and little did I know, Jahnel loves photography too!
We work together at Chick-fil-A and have become great friends. She brings so much life to our restaurant and I am so thankful we have become friends! We decided we wanted to get lunch together and through that, we discovered we both had a passion for photography! So, we went out for Wendy's Chili....best. chili. ever. am I right!? Then, went our on photo adventure!

The pictures below are photos we captured that day. We even met a funny sailor who took our picture...it wasn't even blurry! ;) Jahnel took the photos of me, and I love how they turned out!

I love all of the new people and friends 2012 brought into my life and I am looking forward to fostering those relationships in 2013 and all the new people I will met this year!

Happy New Year friends!

Brooke

Decorating: This Christmas

My family would be the first to tell you, I'm a little in love with Christmas. I'm in love with holidays period, however, Christmas holds a special place in my heart. I mean, I go all out. I love all that is included in this holiday: the seasonal foods, seasonal radio stations, the gift giving, decorating, christmas parties & family get-togethers, christmas outfits, traditions, hot coco, riding around looking at christmas lights, and of course, wearing Christmas hats. I love this holiday. And, I love what it's all about. I love that this holiday is centered and focused completely on celebrating our Savior, the perfect gift. Jesus is the gift of the season and I seriously can't get enough of this season.

Below, I have given you a little peak into my favorite room ever. This Christmas I have invested in a few new Christmas decorations and thought as Christmas approaches, it was time to show you it all decorated. There is something so magical about bringing Christmas into your own home. It's a place you and your family get to enjoy it, with your own traditions and memories. Every year brings new and exciting things. This year we have family going opposite ways, so celebrating together will be different, but Christ is still born and the reason to celebrate!

Cheers to wonderful time spent with family and friends,
Merry Christmas everyone!

Brooke xoxo
